I was one of the lucky ones who survived 15.1 without even one rip. And then came the CrossFit Games Open workout 15.2 – chest to bar pull-ups and overhead squats. Thanks, Dave. I’m sure Band-Aid and Neosporin are thanking you too for the spike in sales.
Let’s do this (again).
I was excited for 15.2 because it was a chance to repeat the 2014 Open’s workout 14.2 where I struggled to get just a few chest to bar pull-ups, finishing with a score of 12. For 15.2 I managed to pull off a 60 rep PR finishing with a score of 72. It wasn’t just me. CrossFitters around the world PR’d, whether it was improving from 14.2 or doing big things like getting their first pull-up.
Predictions for 15.3
It’s hard to ignore the blatant teaser posted on Instagram earlier this week. An image with pistols (yes, guns) and a jump rope on top of what appears to be a plyo box. Is it safe to predict that 15.3 will be some combination of box jumps, double unders and pistols? Or is it the instagram post just too obvious and was meant to throw us off. My prediction this week is to go with the obvious. There will be pistols. There will be double unders. There might be box jumps.
